New Phlebotomy Drive-in Clinic:
Bromley GP Alliance have launched a daily drive in clinic for patients who require blood tests but are unable to/do not wish to attend a local clinic based within a practice. The service, operating daily from Beckenham Beacon car park can be booked by calling the phlebotomy booking line on 020 3930 0245. The service will run four clinics per week for vulnerable and shielding patients and one clinic per week for those with covid-19 related symptoms.
Situated in the Beckenham Beacon car park, a blood test service will be available for shielded patients who are able to leave the house and require separate clinical facilities. People with a high priority need for a blood test but who may also have suspected symptoms of Covid-19 can access this service at a designated session. This clinic is an addition to the appointment only Community Phlebotomy Service run by the Bromley GP Alliance. Patients can book their own appointments directly on 0203 930 0245, but patient will need to have their printed form before attending the clinic.
It is important that patients with long term conditions and high-risk medical treatments that require regular monitoring are encouraged to continue with their routine blood testing. For those patients falling under shielded category but also housebound, and for those self-isolating, please assess the urgency for a blood test and consider a referral to Bromley Healthcare Community Nursing Service for a home visit where necessary.
